Telascica

Day1: Zadar – Telascica nature park

Leaving Zadar, we will enjoy in a deep green colour of pine forest around lake-like calm seasurface in a long bay of Telascica. This is a perfect place to test your diving equipment, because of richness of sea life there.

Kornati

Day2: Kornati national park
Heading to Adriatic’s most interesting part – national park Kornati. Passing a labyrinth of numerous little islands and rocks, we will search for a perfect bay to spend a day there, but wherever we anchorage, we will find sea that clean that you can see sea bed even if it is on depth of 40 meters! You will find out why Kornati islands are favourite destination for nautical pilgrims that are looking for “something completely different”. Moreover, there are enough islandsand bays for everyone there. Find some sank old ship, and even a lost treasury. You never know about those things in Adriatic Sea. In the evening, we will make a campfire, put some fresh fish on grill, open wine bottle, and enjoy in silence of starry night and a time passing by.

Skradin

Day3: Skradin
Another national park on our Adriatic route is River Krka falls and cute little town of Skradin on the rivers drain. The town is protected by law as a monument. We will reach it sailing slowly through a high, impressivecanyon, dag in hard stone by force of Krka river. There is a curiosity about Krka. The very first hydro-electrical plant in the world was made there, and you’ll be able to visit it. As Krka is extremely clean river, we recommend you to taste some river fish local speciality in restaurant ashore.

Rogoznica

Day4: Rogoznica
After a freshness of inlet river experience, we are back to pure Adriatic. Morning arrival to bay of Rogoznica, with a breakfast aboard, picking up some good place for enjoying inMediterranean way of life, that includes making barbecue, drinking excellent wine and relaxing for a whole day. Rogoznica is an area in the middle of Adriatic coast, connecting its south and north, and representing thevery best of both sides. Especially when you enjoy it on such a luxury and cosy boat.

Hvar

Day5: Island of Hvar
You will have a time for yourselfthere, for swimming, scuba diving, jet ski, or simple snooze in the shade of fragrant pines. Around 5 pm, we will moor on Hvar Island in some quiet bay. Our crew will take you to sight seeing in beautiful Hvar town with a long and rich history. Supper in restaurant or aboard.

Korcula

Day6: Island of Korcula
It may be true that places and islands differ, but Korcula undoubtedly holds a privileged position among Croatian islands. Here there are perhaps even more legends, tales and monuments than anywhere else. The oldest written monument in Croatia, in Greek, was found there. According to legend, Korcula was establishedby the Trojan hero Anthenor in the 12th century BC. In the afternoon, cooled by a characteristic breeze of mistral, we will moor in marina in centre of Korcula town, a hometown of Marko Polo, wonder through narrow stone streets of the ancient city and look for thebest restaurant in town with the best view to an unforgettable sunset.

Mljet

Day7: Mljet national park
Sailing toward astonishing and uniquenational park of Mljet. Anchorage in picturesque Polace bay, enjoying fresh fish and crabs for lunch and swimming in crystal clean sea of national park area. In the afternoon, visit two Mljet’s salt lakes. On the Big Lake, there is a small island St. Mary, with fortified monastery from the Romanesque period on it, like a castle from fairytales. On an island within an island! Having dinner somewhere in the ancient mystic of Mljet’s “midland” is an exceptional experience. The island of Mljet is the most densely wooded of the Adriatic. Due to its old thick forests of Aleppo pine, Karts caves, two picturesque salt-water lakes (connected with each other and the sea) many sandy and gravelbeaches, plentiful fishing grounds, the western part of the island has been proclaimed a national park.

Dubrovnik

Day8: Dubrovnik
Dubrovnik is the city of a unique political and cultural history (the Dubrovnik Republic, the Statute from1272), of world-famous cultural heritage and beauty (inscribed on the List of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO) – is one of the most attractive and famous cities of the Mediterranean. Apart from its outstanding natural beauties and well-preserved cultural and historical heritage, Dubrovnik also offers high-quality visitor opportunities. It is also the city of hotels, of high ecological standards and tourist programs, and is equallyattractive in all seasons.

Leaving
You will be kindly asked to say goodbye to your yacht, by 9 o’clock am, so she can be prepared to welcome new group of guests, which will go with us through this Adriatic adventure of paradise exploring. However, do not be sad about saying goodbye, since we know that once you feel Mediterranean air, you will be back on it again.

Diocletian, Roman Emperor, built the vast palace for his own retirement 1700 years ago, a structure measuring 700 feet by 600 feet (215 by 180 m), centuries later developing into a medieval town and today the busy core of Split, even containing a hotel, the old Hotel Slavija. Along the southern palace wall, a magnificent palm-clad promenade, Riva, stretches away westwards. Today, it is renowned for its variety of archaeological, historical and cultural monuments among them the UNESCO listed Diocletian Palace. Walk through the Grad area while noticing all the different styles and materials used in the construction and renovation of the palace.  Head out of the eastern Iron Gate to find a good spot for lunch and then continue along the Riva toward Marjan for a relaxing afternoon by the sea. Then going onboard and sailing away from the Split harbour to the island of Solta, in a small harbour Sesula, where you can have nice dinner in a local restaurant.

Geography and nature in Croatia

Croatia is very small country, and quite unknown to many people. Many people maybe heard about it, but aren’t able to show it on a map. To help you find it, just look at the Europe, find Italy (big semi-island that looks like a boot :-)), look right over the Adriatic sea and you will find a peace of land called Croatia. Croatia is situated close to densely populated and industrially developed European countries. Many internationally important transport routes cross Croatia. The importance of the geographical position of the Republic of Croatia is also enhanced by the Adriatic Sea, the northernmost gulf of the Mediterranean which is the closest to the central part of the European continent.

Adriatic Sea

Adriatic sea satellite

Satellite image

The Adriatic Sea is a body of water separating the Italian Peninsula from the Balkan peninsula, and the system of the Apennine Mountains from that of the Dinaric Alps and adjacent ranges. The Adriatic Sea is a part of the Mediterranean Sea.

The Adriatic is a relatively warm sea – its temperature does not fall below 11 ° C. Transparency is also great; at some spots you can see up to 50 meters!

Palagruža

Palagruža

One of the characteristics of the Croatian coast is a very great diversity of the coastline. Croatian part of the coast is extremely high (along the coast many mountains, hills and reefs are settled), while the Italian coast is quite low. Diversity of the coast is a result of sinking mountain relief forms of dissolution of ice after the Ice Age (when the sea level has risen up100 m, and the mountain peaks of the former have become islands, bays and valleys and sea-going). As a result, the direction of providing the island follows the direction of providing a mountain on the mainland. This phenomenon was first noticed on the coast of Dalmatia (Croatia), and throughout the world, it is called the Dalmatian type of coast. You can enjoy on the beach on +30 degrees Celsius, and in a half an hour you can be on the top of the mountain freezing at +5 degrees :-).
